Madruga Looks to Buy Breakers
Alpaca mogul Ronald Madruga made an offer today to purchase the Lake Las Vegas Breakers for and undisclosed amount.  League officials would only say that an offer was made by Madruga and that a deal was being considered by the league.  The Breakers were owned by a partnership in 2006 that was secretly financed by disgraced commissioner David Ostler, who is now under investigation by league arbiters.

New Colors Selected For Breakers
If you haven't noticed from the new website, the Breakers have updated the official team colors.  The colors are Breakers Navy Blue, Atlantic Blue (Metallic for helmets), Silver and White.  Along with the new colors, the team is working on a new helmet logo.  The team would wear the new colors in 2007.

The USFLL is getting ready for the 2007 Fall Season by lining up teams.  The league has 6 teams solidly committed for the Fall season.  Eight teams are likely to play.  The league would expand to a maximum of 12 teams for the upcoming season.  The loss of Breakers in the Freedom Conference drops the number of teams in the conference to three.
